Carolina in the Fall audience at night

Carolina in the Fall™ presented by Wilkes Communications, Inc. announced today that the “Hometown Stage” will be sponsored by the Wilkesboro Tourism Development Authority. This stage will be dedicated to hosting musicians from the northwestern region of North Carolina and will feature many of the areas talented artists.

The stage will be located between the Nanasan Restaurant and the Wilkes Shoppes on Main. Wanda Morrison, Proprietor of the Shoppes on Main generously donated her parking area for the stage. The old Gray Brothers warehouse will be the backdrop for the stage and will lend a touch of history to the venue. “This location works beautifully for the Hometown Stage”, says Michelle Isom, Festival Director. “We look forward to hosting the areas artist from 8 to 80 years old. We appreciate the support of the Wilkesboro TDA as they have caught the vision to bring a festival to Downtown Wilkesboro and the tourists that will bring to the region.”

Carolina in the Fall™ is making its’ festival debut this year in Downtown Wilkesboro on September 25th and 26th. Artists scheduled to perform are the Kruger Brothers, Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, Balsam Range, The Secret Sisters, Mipso, The Barefoot Movement, Lindsay Lou and the Flatbellys, The Snyder Family Band, Zoe and Cloyd and many more.

Each evening of the festival, VIP ticket holders will be treated to the Carolina Jam™ at the Yadkin Valley Event Center at the Wilkesboro Holiday Inn Express. This once in a lifetime band jam experience is scheduled to begin each evening at 10:00 and conclude at Midnight.

Included in the Festival is the first annual Carolina in the Fall Food Truck Championship. Food trucks from around the State will converge on Main Street to feed festival goers and compete for the $500 first prize and the championship trophy. Additionally, local wineries and craft beer brewers will be onsite to serve attendees some of their best beverages.

Two day festival passes are $25.00 and two day VIP passes are $60.00 (until September 1st) . Tickets are limited and are available online at www.carolinainthefall.org.
