Carolina in the Fall Music and Food Festival, presented by Wilkes Communications, Inc will take place this Friday and Saturday, September 25th and 26th. The Kruger Brothers are prepared to welcome folks to downtown Wilkesboro for two days of celebration of the music and food that makes Wilkes County a very special place. The festival is a joint effort of the Town of Wilkesboro, Heart of Folk, LLC and the Kruger Brothers.
Some 28 bands, including the Kruger Brothers, Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, Balsam Range, the Secret Sisters and many more will take the stages over the two days of the festival. Local vendors will be showing off Wilkes County’s best from apples, honey and ham to pottery and blacksmithing. Regional vineyards and craft breweries will be on hand to let folks taste the regions wines and beers.
The Carolina in the Fall Food Truck Championship will be held on Saturday afternoon at 3:00PM with the winner being announced form the Carolina Stage at 4:30. Awards will be made to the truck that wins People’s Choice, Best Truck and the Overall Champion. Festival attendees will have the opportunity to fill out surveys during the festival to select the People’s Choice Award winner.
Carolina in the Fall™ is making its’ festival debut this year in Downtown Wilkesboro on September 25th and 26th. Gates will open for the festival each day at 10 AM, with music beginning at 11 AM and will continue until 9 P.M. in the evening. Each evening of the festival, VIP ticket holders will be treated to the Carolina Jam™ at the Yadkin Valley Event Center at the Wilkesboro Holiday Inn Express. This once in a lifetime band jam experience is scheduled to begin each evening at 10:00 and conclude at Midnight.
