Carolina in the Fall™ presented by Wilkes Communications, Inc. announced the addition of several new bands to the festival lineup. With the goal of celebrating western North Carolina culture, several regional Americana/ Bluegrass bands for the area have been added to the long list of artists. Time Sawyer, Bandits Roost, The Neighbors, The Hook and Bullet, Back Porch Bluegrass, The Idle Time Band, The Lovette Brothers, Rocky Point Band, Beyond the Blue, Uncle Joe and the Shady Rest, champion guitarist Presley Barker and champion mandolin player Jonah Horton will bring their talents to the Carolina in the Fall™ stages. These bands join The Kruger Brothers, Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, Balsam Range and The Secret Sisters for the inaugural presentation of Carolina in the Fall™ in downtown Wilkesboro. “With the addition of these excellent western North Carolina bands, Carolina in the Fall™ is fulfilling its’ mission of celebrating the music of the region. From gospel to bluegrass to roots music, these folks will bring their own special sound to the stages of Carolina in the Fall™“ says festival director Michelle Isom. Carolina in the Fall™ is making its’ festival debut this year in Downtown Wilkesboro on September 25th and 26th. Carolina in the Fall™ presented by Wilkes Communications, Inc. announced today the addition of the “Carolina Celebration” to close out the first day of this year’s festival on Friday night, September 25, 2015. The “Celebration” will be hosted by the Kruger Brothers and will include some of the brightest stars from the bands that perform during the festival. Song selections will include long time Kruger Brothers favorites and will focus on bringing the songs of the Carolinas to life. Members of Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, Balsam Range, The Barefoot Movement and Zoe and Cloyd and others will be joining the Kruger Brothers. Michelle Isom, Festival Director says, “This will be a wonderful way to close out the first day of this new festival. The purpose of Carolina in the Fall is to celebrate the season, the culture and our region of North Carolina and this collaboration of artists will do all of those things.” “We are honored to host this evening ending celebration. Wilkesboro, NC – March 26, 2015 –– MUSIC | FOOD | DRINK -- This September, the first annual Carolina In The Fall™ Festival presented by Wilkes Communications, Inc. celebrates the heritage of western North Carolina through music, food and beverage. On September 25th and 26th, 2015, over 100 musicians, chefs, vintners and craft beer brewers from the region will gather on Main Street in Wilkesboro, NC to engage audiences with the best of their craft. Carolina in the Fall™ … hearing those words brings to mind images of brilliant colors and cooler temperatures. A time when life slows down and nature’s beauty speeds up! With that as a backdrop, Carolina in the Fall™ brings “New Carolina Music” to the foothills of North Carolina. On the old Courthouse Square in historic downtown Wilkesboro, the Kruger Brothers will host some of North Carolina’s best Folk/ Roots music bands. They will be joined by bands from other areas that tip their hats to the rich musical history of Wilkes, the Heart of American Folk Music™.
