WILKESBORO, NC – The fourth annual Carolina in the Fall Music and Food Festival, taking place September 21-22, 2018, has expanded its powerful lineup of entertainment to include The Secret Sisters, Jim Lauderdale, Front Country, Humming House and more. These artists will join festival hosts The Kruger Brothers and The Steel Wheels, The Roosevelts, Fireside Collective, The Contenders, Snyder Family Band, The Arcadian Wild, Nikki Talley and more than 100 other musicians, chefs, vintners and craft beer brewers from the region. The Secret Sisters – The Secret Sisters, a singer-songwriter duo from Alabama, went from touring with Bob Dylan to losing their label, purging their team, and filing bankruptcy. But sisters Laura and Lydia Rogers kept moving forward, receiving a Grammy nomination for their biting and beautiful third LP, produced by Brandi Carlile, “You Don't Own Me Anymore.” The sisters found themselves in a more creative and honest space than ever. They poured themselves into songwriting, with their experiences flowing and morphing into collective tales of triumph, rage and the indefatigable human spirit. The resulting songs are as poetic as they are confessional – soulful, gospel grooves anchored by the timeless, crystalline ring of Laura and Lydia’s voices in sweet unison. Wilkesboro, NC – February 28, 2018 ––The fourth annual Carolina in the Fall™ Music and Food Festival, winner of the 2017 IBMA Momentum Event of the Year Award, continues its’ tradition of celebrating the heritage of western North Carolina on September 21st and 22nd, 2018. Over 100 musicians, chefs, vintners and craft beer brewers from the region will gather on Main Street in Wilkesboro, NC to engage audiences with the best of their craft. “Big changes are coming to Carolina in the Fall™ this year”, says Festival Director Michelle Isom. “We listened to our festival guests and reserved seating is clearly an amenity that they want. This year we will have a very limited number of reserved seats that are part of the VIP Package. Carolina in the Fall Music and Food Festival presented by Wilkes Communications, Inc. announced that they will be hosting the 2nd Annual Chad Lovette Memorial 5k and 10k Trail Run to benefit the American Cancer Society. “Carolina in the Fall is very thankful to be the host for the 2nd Annual Chad Lovette Memorial Trail Run. Last year, with the help of over 200 participants we raised $10,000 to help the American Cancer Society in their effort to find the cure. The festival is the wonderful setting for a benefit event that focuses on helping those who are dealing with this disease and those that are working to find a cure”, said Daniel. “It is a perfect fit for our festival mission. Our Trail Run will wear the name of Chad Lovette to remember and honor him and his love for this region’s music.” 
Carolina in the Fall™ Music and Food Festival presented by Wilkes Communications, Inc. announced that they will be hosting the 2017 North Carolina Banjo Championships. Jens Kruger, of The Kruger Brothers and one of the top banjo players in the world will serve as the host for the championships. “I am thrilled to host the banjo championship and I look forward to welcoming many of the nation’s top pickers as they compete to hold the annual title. Carolina in the Fall is the perfect setting for the North Carolina Banjo Championship and we look forward to hosting many years of great banjo competition”, said Jens.
Carolina in the Fall™ presented by Wilkes Communications, Inc. is seeking volunteers for the music and food festival to be held in Wilkesboro on September 22nd and 23rd. Volunteers are needed for many functions during the festival and will work 4 hour shifts. Each person will receive a CITF Volunteer Tee-Shirt and a one-day pass for the day of their work.
